Hi hi hi! I'm pumped for your special day, and I want to make the photo portion seem as seamless and stress-free for you as possible! Here is a little guide I created with some extra info to make your day flow better :) I'm ALWAYS a phone call away if you have any questions!!

Some people prefer to do the vibe that best suits their wedding venue/vibe.
Beach wedding? Engagement session at the beach. European summer style? Ringling museum or somewhere with architecture that makes sense for you.
how to use the photos
We can schedule it whenever works best for you! I always advise to do it as soon as possible, just so you can use them for your engagement party, save the dates, etc.
when to schedule
Engagement sessions are incredible for a multitude of reasons; photos of you two engaged to begin, save-the-dates, or getting comfortable in front of the camera with me before the wedding!
why you should
***if you already have done an engagement session, you can opt this in for me to come to an hour of your rehearsal dinner, or we can plan a "night before" or "morning after" esque type shoot! I'm open to anything.

planning your engagement session
I advise to do ALWAYS what YOUR aesthetic is. What defines you guys? Do you guys enjoy dressing up? Are you avid pizza eaters and want to bring a box of pizza to the beach for your session? Include the dogs?
I live for the ~bridal moment~ so wearing white is always a good move.
A lot of clients double up the engagement session to use the photos for save-the-dates; this is always nice because it can be cohesive. So, for example, if you're getting married at an Estate with incredible architecture, I'd opt for the engagement session to be somewhere similar, like a museum. Together we can discuss what your vision is and I can send you plenty of location/styling options!
what to wear and determining the aesthetic
selecting outfits & styling your shoot
A few weeks before your wedding, I love to do a venue walk through with you! This is to assess potential spots for certain photos (first looks, bridals, etc)
This is good to do because it gets me a good idea of your vision at your venue! I love to pick out pretty spots and see them come to life!
If you're from out of town and can't do one, I will happily do one and send you photos/facetime, whatever works!
VENUE WALK-THROUGHS
Anything special. Lately I've seen people bring in old photos of eachother together to incorporate, or photos of their grandparents wedding day... little sweet things that you would look at with meaning.

Please bring any perfume, cologne, jewerly, shoes, all the little worn details that make up your day.

Your wedding flat lay photos showcase those details so you always remember every last part of your wedding – from the sentimental heirlooms to the perfume you wore. Flatlays are done in the beginning of the day, while you are getting ready! I bring stuff for it too (ring boxes, ribbon, trays)
